Kings' Wright apologizes for DUI arrest

SACRAMENTO, California (AP)-Sacramento Kings forward Antoine Wright was arrested Thursday night for driving under the influence, the team said Friday.

The kings who a home game Saturday against Memphis, has issued a statement of apology Wright.Wright's lawyer, Bill portanova, said in the team statement that his client fully cooperating with police in nearby Rocklin.

"" I am getting sad for me in this situation have, said Wright team.""I apologize my teammates and coaches, Sacramento Kings organization, the Sacramento community and fans and my family sincere."

Kings President of basketball operations Geoff Petrie say whether Wright would face a suspension, but rather would wait for the team, until the legal process see out.

"" We are very disappointed in the situation has created Antoine for themselves and the Organization,"Petrie said.""Certainly it has no shortage of education and/or resources that nearby are attended our players on these types of activities, however, respect his right to due process at this time."

Wright has appeared in two Sacramento five games but still evaluated in an average of 1.4 minutes.

Less than a month ago, spent George Maloof Jr. - Brother of Kings owners Joe and Gavin Maloof and owner of the Palms Casino Resort in Las Vegas--a night in jail after arrested near his Las Vegas home suspicion of drunken driving.
